BB’s 9th death anniversary: Sindh announces public holiday on Dec 27

All offices, autonomous or semi-autonomous, working under the Sindh government will remain closed as per notification

The Sindh government has announced a public holiday all across the province on December 27 (Tuesday) on account of the death anniversary of Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) slain leader and former prime minister Benazir Bhutto.

All offices, autonomous or semi-autonomous, working under the Sindh government will remain closed as per the notification released by the provincial government on Friday.

The Government of Sindh has been pleased to declare 27th December, 2016 (Tuesday) as public holiday throughout the province of Sindh on the occasion of Shahdat of Mohtrama Benazir Bhutto Shaheed,” read the statement.



On December 27, 2007 Benazir Bhutto was killed in a gun and suicide bomb attack after an election rally in Rawlapindi, weeks after she returned to Pakistan from years in self-imposed exile.
