PTI K-P chapter given five key slots in central cabinet

As per the notification, Muhammad Atif Khan has been notified as additional secretary-general

PESHAWAR: Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan has given five key slots to Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa in the central cabinet of the party.

On the directive of Imran Khan, PTI General Secretary Jahangir Tareen issued a notification on Thursday, nominating a number of leaders to the PTI central cabinet.

As per the notification, Muhammad Atif Khan has been notified as additional secretary-general, Shahram Khan Tarakai, central vice-president of K-P; Fazal Khan, central vice-president of K-P; Dr Amjad as joint secretary of K-P and Shaheryar Afridi for the slot of secretary (internal security) in the cabinet.

Apart from Fazal Khan, senior ministers of K-P were given the responsibilities in the central and provincial cabinets.

Talking to The Express Tribune, PTI Central Media Head Iftikhar Durrani said: “The PTI central leadership never ignores K-P leaders in important matters or decisions.”

He said the K-P chief minister and other senior ministers had been invited in all important decisions. “On the wishes of the central leadership, Khan officially announces K-P leaders for the important slots in the central cabinet.”

He said the PTI central leadership has decided to start an awareness campaign across the country which would be started from Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa.
