MULTAN: A woman of Taunsa, who had claimed of getting her sex changed and marrying another woman, did not appear before the medical board that was constituted to check her. Therefore, the board issued a report, stating she did not undergo a sex change surgery.

The woman, N*, had claimed of undergoing a sex change surgery and then marrying her class fellow A*.

Since the report has denied that any such surgery took place, the police arrested A and sent her to Darul Aman in Dera Ghazi Khan over court’s orders issued on Saturday. She will be brought to the Multan court on December 13, said a sub inspector at Taunsa police station, Abdul Ghaffar Barmani.

The Taunsa police official said they would also arrest N and bring her before the Multan bench of the high court.

After N is also arrested, medical check-up of N and A will take place. The police have also arrested the owner of the how who gave shelter to both the women.

As A’s parents had filed a kidnapping case against N, police have arrested the latter’s mother.

During the previous hearing A had told the court N got her sex changed on her will. But the police said the woman had not got any such surgery done.
