LAHORE: The Information Technology University (ITU) Centre for Governance and Policy has launched ‘CEOBaithak’ to allow highly acclaimed professionals to share their stories of success, failures and struggles with budding entrepreneurs. Pakistan Board of Investment Chairman Dr Miftah Ismail launched the initiative at a ceremony held at ITU on Friday. “If the idea cannot be explained in five minutes, it is not workable,” he said while speaking to the entrepreneurs present on the occasion. “Pakistan has a large population, and all it takes is a few brilliant people. We have a lot more than that.” Dr Miftah admitted there were problems of networking and access, but added that this allowed one to pitch the idea to different people. “One should never lend more than the vendor’s profit over the product. This one trick allowed my company to grow from Rs10 million to Rs2 billion per month,” Dr Miftah said while addressing issues of credit lines.
