Developing Hazara: 46 small hydel projects completed

In order to boost development and improve the living conditions of the people, the K-P government is working at a very rapid pace on a number of micro hydroelectric power projects in Hazara division, Radio Pakistan reported on Thursday. According to latest figures available, a total of about  46 small hydroelectric power projects have become fully operational in the area. These projects are generating a total capacity of 1,800 KW of electricity which will go a long way in meeting the energy needs of the province. The projects, include 12 in Abbottabad, 28 in Battagram and six in Kohistan. These hydropower projects would help tap the water potential and enable people to get electricity on low cost to increase their income.
