Targetted attack: Traffic cop shot dead   

The victim was shot multiple times and died on the spot

KARACHI: A traffic cop was shot dead in an act apparent of targetted killing in North Nazimabad on Sunday. Police said that unidentified armed men riding a motorcycle opened fire at additional section officer sub-inspector Muhammad Arshad. The victim was shot multiple times and died on the spot. The body was taken to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre for autopsy. DSP Naeem Khan informed that the deceased was on duty near Five Star Chowrangi when armed motorcyclists killed him. Sindh IG AD Khawaja also took notice of the incident and asked the relevant police officials to submit a report. Moreover, late Saturday night, two suspected street criminals were killed in a police encounter in Phase-I of Defence Housing Authority.
