UNITED NATIONS: Endorsing Pakistan’s stance on Kashmir, China’s Premier Li Keqiang on Wednesday categorically said his country will stand with Pakistan, support it and speak for it at every forum.

"We attach great importance to Pakistan's position on Kashmir," he said during a meeting with Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif at sidelines of the 71st UN General Assembly session. He said Pakistan itself was a victim of terrorism, adding, "We hope that the situation between India and Pakistan will not escalate."

"We also hope that there will be better understanding of Pakistani position on Kashmir by the international community," the Chinese premier added. "We are ready to play constructive role in improvement of relations between Pakistan and India."
