Modern study: Laptops awarded to 139 SZABMU students

Minister of State for CADD maintained that the govt is focused on raising the standard of education

ISLAMABAD: As many as 139 postgraduate students of Shaheed Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto Medical University were awarded laptops on Wednesday under the Prime Minister’s Laptop Scheme.

Minister of State for Capital Administration and Development Division (CADD) Tariq Fazal Chaudhry distributed the laptops among the students. He said that in the coming years, more medical students will be given laptops.

The minister maintained that apart from establishing new institutions, the government is focused on raising the standard of education as well. He maintained that standards of medical education are already high and that Pakistani doctors are recognised around the world. But, he added, regional countries are ahead of Pakistan in terms of healthcare services and through education, we have to catch

up with them.
