KARACHI: Pak Sarzameen Party (PSP) chief Mustafa Kamal took out a rally on Monday evening as part of his newly-formed party's public engagement campaign which they had announced to accelerate in a recent press conference.

Starting from the party's headquarters, Pakistan House, at Nursery on Sharae Faisal, the rally made its first stop in Korangi 2.5 where the PSP chief and former city mayor addressed people after a flag hoisting ceremony.

Criticising Muttahida Qaumi Movement's founding chief Altaf Hussain, Kamal said his and his colleague Anis Kaimkhani's recent revelations about the MQM founder were proved right from Altaf's recent speeches against the sovereignty of the country.

He said he and like-minded colleagues formed their party to put the country on the right path. He added that the city, had been turned into a pile of garbage by the 'incompetent' authorities.

He also mentioned that the people, especially those living in Korangi, had seen a fair share of violence in the past. "[Here] 10-year-old children have shouldered their father's corpses," Kamal said.

The PSP will get people their due rights through its political struggle, he asserted, urging the rulers to take notice of the precarious situation of the country and do what needs to be done.
