Assurances: Jhagra vows to support Kashmiris

PESHAWAR: Governor Iqbal Zafar Jhagra has vowed to support the people of Kashmir during their hour of need, saying the day is not far when the people of Kashmir will attain their goals. Jhagra held a meeting with Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) Prime Minister Raja Farooq Haider at Governor House on Saturday. This was stated in a handout issued by the information department. Haider discussed matters of mutual interest with the governor.“Kashmir is the lifeline of Pakistan,” the handout cited Jhagra as saying. “It is the incomplete agenda of the division of the Subcontinent.”He assured the AJK PM that people of Pakistan will continue to support people of Kashmir during these turbulent times. “The prevailing situation in Indian-occupied Kashmir reflects the untiring spirit of its people for the right to self-determination,” the document cited him as saying. “The day is not far away when people of Kashmir will attain this goal.” The governor told Haider that PM Nawaz Sharif had constituted a 22-member parliamentary forum as part of ongoing efforts by government of Pakistan to raise voice for the people of Indian-occupied Kashmir.
