With around two dozen Android games already under his belt, 17-year-old Pakistani developer Shahmeer Chaudhry has now launched his first ever game for PC.

Apartment 666, Shahmeer's first away from mobile game, shows the user stuck in an endless cycle of loops. “One day you wake up and realise that nobody is home. You try to exit the apartment only to wake up again in your room. You are stuck in an endless cycle of loops with only one way out,” reads the game's description.

Shahmeer’s games on Google Play Store have garnered over a million downloads so far.

“I started developing games in 2013 at the age of 14 and made my first game just two months after learning programming,” he told The Express Tribune.

Shahmeer says he is self-taught and learned a lot from YouTube.

His hard work has also been acknowledged by tech giant Microsoft.

“After a year of development, Microsoft contacted me and gave me a Windows Phone along with access to other software material to develop games,” he claimed.

Since then, Shahmeer has created his own video game company called INeedPlay. Some of his games have had over 50 thousand downloads while the game, '7 night at Buddy' have almost half a million downloads.

Mohammad Ali | 7 years ago | Reply This kid, ripped off two great games, namely P.T and five nights at Freddys, and made horrible copies of them. It amazes me that people are applauding this kind of plagiarism just because he's 17. He probably thought no one would realize. Frankly, it's disrespectful to the original developers who spent months/years developing and perfecting their vision and it's disrespectful to the consumer. Report that tribune.
