Imprisonments: Five sentenced in murder case

Four of the convicts were immediately arrested from the courtroom soon after the verdict was announced

MIRPUR: Additional District Criminal Court here on Thursday sentenced five accused, including three brothers, to different terms in rigorous imprisonments in the murder case of Raja Muhammad Sarfraz.

The court comprising Additional District and Sessions Judge Chaudhry Muhammad Sajjad and District Qazi Awais Ahmed awarded 25 years rigorous imprisonment each to four accused including three real brothers identified as Naseer Akber, Jehangir Akber and Tariq Akber, and Muhamad Kabeer, along with fine for Rs0.3 million each.

The court sentenced the fifth accused Muhammad Arshad to five years in rigorous imprisonment.
