Giving back: ‘Afghan refugees should be respected’

SWABI: Afghan nationals are living in the country under an international pact and the provincial government, the police and security forces should respect the agreement. This was said by Jamaat-e-Islami provincial chief Mushtaq Ahmad Khan.  He was speaking to journalists in Swabi on Saturday.

“[Afghan nationals] saved the borders of Pakistan and defeated Russia,” he said.  “The governments of Pakistan and Afghanistan should resolve their differences and not create difficulties for Afghan refugees in the country”, Mushtaq added.

The JI leader urged the government to resolve differences in K-P government as PTI and JI were sharing power in the province. He also urged the government to include smaller provinces in China-Pakistan Economic Corridor project.
