ISLAMABAD: The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has arrested a man who allegedly harassed and blackmailed women on Facebook.
Umar Raja, the suspect, was arrested on June 21 from Islamabad and remanded into FIA custody for five days on 22nd.
He was produced before Judicial Magistrate Abdul Ghafoor Kakar on Monday.

The FIA requested the court to send the suspect on 14-day judicial remand, which the court granted.
The suspect is a resident of Ghauri Town in Islamabad.
The FIA prosecutor told the court that the suspect had been booked in two separate cases registered against him under the Electronic Transaction Ordinance 2002 and the Pakistan Penal Code.
The FIA also told the court that the suspect had confessed to the commission of offences during the interrogation and also surrendered electronic equipment used in the commission of offences as well as usernames and passwords of the Facebook profiles in question.

The court sent the suspect on 14-day judicial custody and directed the FIA to produce him again on July 10th.
The court has also directed the FIA to complete investigation into the cases and submit a charge sheet against the suspect within the stipulated time.
