QUETTA: Three days after killing of a Frontier Constabulary (FC) officer along with his guard and driver in a Peshawar shootout, two more FC personnel were killed while three others sustained injuries as their convoy was targeted in Balochistan on Saturday.

According to FC spokesperson, roadside explosives in Jhao area of Awaran were detonated when the convoy was passing through the area.

Meanwhile, at least three terrorists, including an important local commander, were also killed in an exchange of fire with the security force in Barkhan area.

The militant linked to defunct Baloch Republic Army (BRA) while one sub-machine gun (SMG), two rifles and hand grenades were seized from their possession.

According to an official statement, the terrorists were involved in a number of crimes including kidnapping for ransom, extortion and attacks on security forces as well as causing damages to gas pipelines.

On Wednesday, a senior officer of FC was killed along with his guard and driver in a drive-by shooting at a busy roundabout in Peshawar.
