KARACHI:

Taking notice of The Express Tribune report on the case of 130 fake appointments of policemen in Hyderabad, the Pakistan Muslim League-Functional parliamentary leader Nand Kumar tabled an adjournment motion in Sindh Assembly on Thursday.

The story, which was published on March 29, revealed how the senior officials in police issued fake orders to cops after getting huge amount of money from them in Recruit Training Centre, Hyderabad, at Ganjjo Takkar in 2014.  After collecting the money, the police conducted their medical tests and allowed them to attend a 10-month-long training, before sending them back home when the recruits started demanding salaries.

“It has been reported that 130 fake appointments in the police department have been detected,” Kumar said in his adjournment. He added that the country is facing terrorism and the police are involved in such activities. “Therefore, this matter is of public importance and should be discussed in the house,” Kumar said.
