Ahmed’s family became concerned after they tried reaching him on his phone hours after he left the house. However, his phone was switched off. Umer, however, managed to reach home safely.

Ahmed's family lodged an FIR against unidentified kidnappers at the Chuhng police station, according to reports.

“Two persons were kidnapped from Canal society. The family of ex-an army officer brought this matter into their knowledge two days later,”

SHO Chuhng Nasar Chattha told The Express Tribune.
