ISLAMABAD:

The Islamabad High Court (IHC) summoned on Thursday summoned the Kohsar SHO for registering a case against a sitting legislator.

On the order of a district court judge, the Kohsar police had registered a murder case against
Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) MNA Rohail Asghar after Shaheen Bibi petitioned the court regarding “her husband
who was killed by the legislator in a hit-and-run incident”.

IHC judge Noorul Haq N Qureshi ordered the Kohsar SHO to appear before the court on Friday (today) after the PML-N leader through his counsel Faisal Mehboob requested the court to set aside the subordinate court’s order.

On Feb 1, Additional District and Sessions Judge Muhammad Atta Rabbani ordered the registration of the FIR on an application filed by Shaheen, who said the PML-N stalwart killed her husband, Raz Muhammad - a security guard for a private company — in a hit-and-run incident.
