Death by electrocution : Top officials of HESCO booked in case

The family and residents of the area staged protests along with the body to demand the registration of a case

Top officials of the Hyderabad Electric Supply Company (Hesco) have been booked in an FIR lodged by a man whose son was electrocuted to death by a fallen transmission wire.


Hesco's chief executive officer, Akhtar Randhawa, is among the officers booked under sections 322 and 34 of the Pakistan Penal Code at the Makki Shah police station on the complaint of Syed Muhammad Nadeem.

Tauheed, the complainant's son, was killed by a transmission wire in the Katcha Qila area on Saturday.

The family and residents of the area staged protests along with the body to demand the registration of a case against the officials.
