Motive Unknown: House attacked in Shergarh

One of the grenades exploded while the other was defused by the bomb disposal unit

SHERGARH: Unidentified men lobbed hand grenades at a house in Lond Khwar, Shergarh in Mardan on Friday night. An official of Lond Khwar police station said a group of men threw two hand grenades at the house of Naseem Khan and managed to escape. One of the grenades exploded while the other was defused by the bomb disposal unit. “At the time of the incident, Naseem and his family were inside their house,” the official said. “However, they remained unhurt.” According to the official, the explosion has left a hole in the ground. The motive behind the attack remains unknown. However, a case was registered and further investigation is under way.
