Flying colours anyone? KMU announces results for Bachelors of Dental Surgery

Around 74% KCD students passed the exams

Khyber Medical University (KMU) has announced results for the first professional annual Exams 2015 for Bachelors of Dental Surgery (BDS). According to the KMU management, 359 students appeared for the exams, of which 180 students, around 50%, passed them.


A statement issued by KMU stated Ayub Medical College’s dental section student Nabya Noor topped the exam with 608 marks, followed by Syeda Oshna and Mashaal Afridi of Khyber College for Dentistry (KCD) with 557 and 554 marks respectively.


Around 74% KCD students passed the exams, followed by 67% students from the dental section of Ayub Medical College. About 68% of students from the dental section of Bacha Khan Medical University also cleared the exams, and 59% of students from KMU Institute of Dental Sciences also passed.


Around 33% students from Women Medical College Abbottabad’s dental section cleared the exams whereas only 19% students from dental section of International Medical College Abbottabad passed the exam.


The statement quoted KMU Vice Chancellor Dr Muhammad Hafeez as saying KMU must strive to set even better standards in the future.
