Hrithik Roshan denies he cheated on estranged wife Sussanne Khan

MUMBAI: It has been two years since news of Hrithik Roshan’s split from Sussanne Khan first broke but it appears the actor is still cleaning up the mess. The estranged couple decided to part ways after 17 years amidst rumours that Roshan cheated on Khan with Kites (2010) costar,  Barbara Mori.

However, the 42-year-old star recently took to Twitter to clarify that he had done no such thing. “There are more chances of me having had an affair with the Pope than any of the — I am sure — wonderful women the media has been naming. Thanks, but no thanks!”

But it isn’t just Mori with whom Roshan has been linked. Rumour has it that fellow Kites actor, Kangana Ranaut, was also in the mix, albeit for a short period. The duo has also worked together in the 2013 hit, Krissh 3.

While Roshan has denied the rumours, Ranaut addressed the gossip in a recent interview where she was questioned about being dropped from the upcoming Aashiqui 3 on the former’s insistence. The movie now stars Sonam Kapoor opposite the Jodhaa Akbar star.

“I do not know why exes do silly things to get your attention. For me, that chapter is over and I don’t dig graves,” responded Ranaut. Her statement indicates that Roshan and her were, indeed, dating.



Roshan first met Khan at the age of 12, as both moved in the same circle of friends whilst growing up in Juhu, Mumbai. According to the Dhoom 2 hero, he liked Khan for a long time but was too shy to confess his feelings. They dated for four years before tying the knot on December 20, 2000. They have two sons, Hrehaan and Hridhaan, together.

On the professional front, Roshan is currently occupied with the shooting of his forthcoming, action-adventure epic, Mohenjo Daro. Directed by Ashutosh Gowariker, the film is set to release on August 12, this year.
