ISLAMABAD:

The Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) Administration and representatives of law enforcement agencies on Thursday finalized a security plan for the offices of media houses in the federal capital.

The ICT Administration held a meeting here under the chair of Islamabad Deputy Commissioner Capt (retd) Mushtaq Ahmed and attended by officials from various security departments and the representatives of media houses.

During the meeting, it was decided to provide them with appropriate security. ICT Additional Deputy Commissioner Abdul Sattar Isani told APP that it was difficult to provide security to every media house, so clusters of media offices were made.

He also elaborated that media houses have been asked to appoint young, active, and well-trained security guards to avoid any untoward incident.

He said no threats have been received by any media house since last week’s attack.
