Officials privy to the development told The Express Tribune, the incident occurred when security forces launched a search operation in an area dominated by Ahmadzai Wazir tribe. A security official was injured during the clash. A faction of the banned Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan claimed responsibility for the attack.
