ISLAMABAD: The Parliamentary Secretary for Cabinet Division Raja Javed Akhlas has said the government is initiating steps to provide business opportunities to the youth.

He was speaking at the Youth and Business Leaders Conference, organised jointly by the Express Media Group and Rifah University in a local hotel on Saturday.

The purpose of the conference was to provide a platform to the youth, businessmen, experts, government authorities, service providers, and other stakeholders and thus pave way for inclusion of the youth in the national progress.

He said the youth is the future of the nation and, therefore, the government initiated the laptop scheme for them. “The government is taking many steps for the country’s development,” he said.

Barrister Danyal Azis of the Prime Minister’s Media Cell said the government has started Youth Business Loan and interest-free loans schemes.

“The youth plays an important role in the economy of the country,” he said, adding that the country is moving towards prosperity because of the steps taken by the government.

Jamaat-e-Islami’s leader Mian Aslam also addressed the conference. The idea of the conference was given by a student Raja Haseeb Faiyyaz.
