Greece exiles: FIA to register case against 15 migrants

Relevant FIA officials have been directed to arrest their agents

ISLAMABAD: The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA), after conducting thorough investigation, has decided to register a case against 15 migrants deported from Greece.

The FIA detained 49 deportees aboard a chartered flight from Greece at Benazir Bhutto International Airport Thursday on the order of Interior Minister, Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan and sent the plane back to Greece along with 30 ‘unverified deportees’.

The remaining 19 individuals were later cleared by the authorities to enter Pakistan and after conducting thorough investigation on the basis of their documentation, the Agency has released four passengers, a senior official in FIA told APP here on Friday.

The official said that the Agency has now decided to book a case against the remaining 15 migrants and their agents under the law of the land and added relevant FIA officials have been directed to arrest their agents.
