“K-P would be the new geological frontier for oil and natural gas,” he said, adding that K-P was endowed with vast hydrocarbon deposits and has become the centre of attraction for local and foreign investors. Rehman | 8 years ago | Reply Well done, and keep on with the good work - Management of KP Oil & Gas Co. The province could soon be recognised as the the Texas or Alberta of Pakistan, should these abundant hydrocarbon reserves be fully explored, developed and produced. The potential is sky-high, however, administrative & political hurdles in the way should soon be eliminated, in order to quickly bring these resources into productive use. Besides, KPK's fossil fuel deposits are deemed to be of conventional-type, as opposed to the much talked about and extremely expensive and technically challenging to exploit/produce Unconventional energies i.e. shale gas, tight oil, CBM gas etc.
