Only three Rangpur players were able to reach double figures as they once again failed with the bat. Skipper Shakib alHasan was the top-scorer with 33 off 37 balls.

In reply, Sylhet seemed to be going strongly at 52-2 in the eighth over but lost their way from there on as wickets kept falling at regular intervals.

Shakib once more dragged his side from the brink, taking three wickets to be named the man of the match yet again.
Mominul Haque top-scored for his side with 29, while his Bangladesh international teammate and Sylhet skipper Mushfiqur Rahim was left stranded at the other end on an unbeaten 25 off 34 balls as Mendis was the last man out.
