The Pakistan Red Crescent Society (PRCS) has launched a Women’s Forum, said a press release issued on Wednesday. The group will be a vibrant comity of women striving to advance the PRCS mission through a focused investment of time, talent and treasure by engaging women locally, nationally and internationally, said PRCS Chairman Dr Saeed Elahi. The forum will serve as a platform for members to participate in awareness drives on health, education and empowerment of women, he added. National Commission for Human Development member Fazila Alyani said the forum will serve the purpose to focus on special measures for gender justice, diversity, and equality and women empowerment, especially for those living in remote, underdeveloped, environmentally challenged or disaster-prone areas.
