Two brothers attacked by wild boar

ABBOTTABAD: At least two farmers were critically injured after they were attacked by wild boars in Kashka village in Abbottabad on Tuesday.

Residents told The Express Tribune Khan Afsar and Muhammad Nawaz, two brothers who lived in the village, were working on the fields with a group of farmers when the incident occurred. “The wild boars emerged from the forest and attacked them,” a resident said.

Speaking to journalists at the surgical ward of Benazir Bhutto Shaheed Teaching Hospital Abbottabad, Afsar said the other farmers managed to escape. “A group of villagers fired shots in the air and released a pack of dogs to force the wild boars to flee,” he said.

According to doctors at the facility, both brothers suffered injuries on their arms, hands, legs and chests but were out of danger.
