Forty people were arrested and hate material was seized during a search operation in Taunsa on Tuesday. Dera Ghazi Khan DPO Ghulam Mubashir Maikan said that the search operation had been carried out in Basti Jalowali, Basti Golaywali and Luntry by police, army and intelligence agencies, civil defense and other departments. “The police seized a large amount of weapons and ammunition from the accused,” he said. Maikan said that the operation had been launched on the information was provided by suspected terrorists who were arrested earlier by security agencies. The DPO said that 300 policemen and women police had participated in the operation.
