LAHORE:

Hollywood stars brought their A-game to this year’s American Music Awards (AMAs). From sizzling cutouts to new hairstyles to sparkling gowns, we saw several bold looks that had us on the edge of our seats. Recognising stars for their achievements has its own significance but these award shows wouldn’t be half the fun if it wasn’t for the red carpet. Here are our favorite looks from this year’s AMA’s.

Kendall Jenner

Kendall debuted her new hairstyle on the red carpet. Sporting a chic fringe and top-knot, she gave off major supermodel vibes. The 20-year-old teamed her bangs with a black fur-embellished mini dress by Oriett Domenech, which accentuated her slender physique. She accessorised with Neil Lane gold snake earrings and Balmain lace-up heels. It seemed like she had walked right out of a winning fashion campaign onto the red carpet.

Celebrity sightings: Suit up and look suave

Ciara

The ‘thigh’ was the limit for Ciara in this gorgeous see-through black-beaded sequinned dress. The daring sheer gown was complete with a dramatic train that left little to the imagination. However, instead of looking tacky, she balanced her look with a high neckline, long sleeves and minimal make-up with a smokey eye and pink lip. She wore her dark hair pulled back in a messy bun, with a few stray wisps framing her face. In addition to the eye-catching gown, she accessorised with towering black stilettos as well as a few diamond rings.

Demi Lovato

Lovato went all-out for the evening, looking drop dead gorgeous in a figure-hugging floor length gown by Lorena Sarbu. The gown was covered in sequins and a lacey metallic camouflage pattern and appeared to be backless, which allowed the songstress to flaunt her toned body. Her locks exuded the oomph of the 1940s to add a vintage drama to the look. The dark lips completed the look. She kept her accessories to a minimum and carried a plain black clutch to not take away from the dress.
