The chehlum of Hazrat Imam Hussain (RA) was observed amid tight security in Haripur. An alam and zuljinah procession left Imambargah Qadeemia, Purani Committee Chowki and culminated at Jafri House on Sunday. Mourners from Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa and other parts of Pakistan including Muzaffarabad, Abbottabad, Taxila, and Havelian participated in the procession. Sajid Hussain from Choti Zereen, discussed the martyrdom of Imam Hussain (RA) and his companions. Sajid added Muslims in a number of countries were exposed to tyrannical and anti-Islamic forces due to a lack of unity among them. He stressed the need to create unity among Muslim nations to fight anti-Islamic forces. Foolproof security measures were in place around the procession to avoid any untoward incident. The main bazaar and its link roads were sealed and heavy contingents of police were deployed on the route of the procession.
