PFA officials fined Butt Sweets for pasting wrong labels on food products and poor hygiene

The Punjab Food Authority (PFA) on Sunday sealed 10 food outlets and fined several others.
In Allama Iqbal Town, PFA teams sealed Data Naan Shop and Bismillah Milk Shop for operating without licences and for poor hygiene. A PFA spokesman said none of the workers had medical certificates. Food authority officials also inspected cleanliness at Ghosia Naan Shop and Madina Sweets in the same neighbourhood and fined both for leaving food uncovered.
In Shalimar Town, a PFA team sealed Sohan Lal Halwa at Nakhuda Chowk and Haq Farid Store for not maintaining hygiene standards and for operating without a licence. PFA officials fined Butt Sweets for pasting wrong labels on food products and poor hygiene.
In Samanabad Town, PFA teams sealed Data Pan Shop, Hafiz Chanay Wala, Sohail Store and Baba Sadiq Qulfi Waly for operating without licences. A team in Nishtar Town team sealed Haji Azhar Traders for not following food regulations and Bismillah Karyana Store for not obtaining a food licence.
The authority’s Ravi Town team fined Kozi Haleem for not installing a counter and for operating without a licence. Bhatti Naan Shop was fined over poor cleanliness. Workers of both outlets did not have medical certificates.
PFA teams in Aziz Bhatti Town and Wagha Town fined Ghosia Hotel for washing dishes without soap and New Shabab Hotwl for leaving garbage bins uncovered.
In Gulberg, PFA teams fined Haji Sweets over poor cleanliness. PFA teams in Data Ganj Baksh Town fined Butt Sweets and Shahzad Dried Fruit for not maintaining hygiene standards.
