KARACHI: The Sindh Rangers informed on Saturday the administrative judge of the anti-terrorism courts about the 90-day preventive detention of two suspects for interrogation. The paramilitary force produced Salman alias Salu and Usman, both allegedly involved in the gang war in Lyari, before Sindh High Court’s justice Naimatullah Phulpoto. The Rangers told the court that the suspects were apprehended during a targeted raid conducted on a tip-off. The Rangers have credible information against the suspect for their alleged involvement in killings, extortion, kidnapping and other activities falling within the ambit of Anti-Terrorism Act (ATA). The papers submitted to court read that the suspects have been detained for three months under Section 11EEEE of the ATA.
