Street crime: Man shot dead during robbery

LAHORE:

A man was shot dead and another was injured on Saturday by unidentified robbers in Gulshan-i-Iqbal. Police said that Muhammad Imran, Muhammad Waqar and Farkhanda were returning home late on Saturday. “When their car stopped in front of their home, two gunmen who were riding a bike stopped alongside. They tried to snatch the golden jewellery worn by Farkhanda. When Imran and Waqar resisted, the robbers shot them multiple times. They then fled,” police said. The injured were taken to a hospital, where Waqar was later pronounced dead. Police have registered a case.
