Imran Khan’s desperate measures

MUMBAI: Bollywood’s young sensation Imran Khan is all set to tie the knot with long-time girlfriend Avantika Malik on Monday and has already started sending out invites to his extended guest lists. But Khan is not about just sending fancy white envelopes to the invitees and has taken it up a notch to become completely tech savvy-the star has sent out registered swipe cards to avoid gatecrashers and unwanted guests.

Khan who remains skeptical of intrusion and security break-ins, has sent attached electronic swipe cards to his selected list of invitees.

“Along with the invitation cards, the guests are also given a swipe card, which is necessary to access the venue,” said a source close to the actor.

The wedding functions commence on Saturday, January 8 and will be followed by a registered marriage on January 10. After the marriage the newly-weds will continue their charade of events along with their line up of guests at Avantika’s farmhouse in Karjat to continue their celebrations.

Needless to say, both households; the Khan’s and the Malik’s are buzzing with excitement with activities that precede the marriage ceremony. “There is so much happening at home. Lots of activities - rehearsals for the sangeet functions and preparations for the wedding,” said Kiran Rao, who is Imran’s uncle Aamir Khan’s wife.
