HARIPUR:

Haripur District Headquarter (DHQ) Teaching Hospital blood bank was inaugurated by Haripur DC Taslim Khan on Wednesday. Speaking at the ceremony, the DC lauded the decision to set up a blood bank at the facility as it would help in emergency and operation cases. “Blood donors and thalassemia patients should get registered with the blood bank to make use of the new service,” he said. Speaking on this occasion, DHQ Medical Superintendent Dr Zakeem Khan said they had made demands for a blood bank at the facility for a long time. “In the absence of a blood bank, doctors who were conducting dozens of surgeries and operations faced countless problems,” he said. “I can only hope safe blood transfusions are conducted at the bank,” Zakeem added.
