The Embassy of France in India has called off the felicitation ceremony of the team of upcoming Bollywood film Tamasha, starring Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone, following the Paris attacks, reported India Today.
The celebration was organised to congratulate the film's director Imtiaz Ali and producer Sajid Nadiadwala. The French Embassy had expressed the desire to honour the two on November 18, for the promotion of France through the film.

The ceremony has been cancelled after a series of terror attacks through Paris on November 13, which left 129 dead and hundreds injured. After the incident, a state of emergency was declared in the country.

A spokesperson from the the unit of Tamasha said, "We are sad and shocked to learn about the terrorist attacks in Paris. Our condolences to the people who have suffered in this incident. We stand with the French Embassy and tourism department in this moment of crisis."
