LAHORE: The All Pakistan Clerks Association (APCA) Punjab on Tuesday announced they will hold protest demonstrations if their demands were not met by November 20. The announcement was made after a meeting of the APCA Punjab chapter’s central committee. The meeting decided to hold province-wide rallies and a sit-in in Lahore after November 20. APCA Punjab Chapter chairman Haji Muhammad Irshad said that the finance secretary and the chief secretary had held a meeting with the chief minister last month. “The CM had agreed to accept APCA’s demands. The minutes of the meeting were later released by senior bureaucrats as a proof of the acceptance of our demands. However, the Finance Department has not yet issued the notification,” Irshad said.
