The workshop is focused on delineating problems related to research design, data collection, writing skills, and technical editing and formulating guidelines for writing dissertations, research articles, and academic books.
The inaugural ceremony was presided over by university president Dr Ahmed Yousif Al-Draiweesh, while chief guest of the event was Higher Education commission (HEC) Advisor Prof Mahmoodul Hassan Butt.
“Muslim intellectual scholars are the only source of Islamic renaissance as they can explore Islamic past and glories, and set trends for new path of success,” the chief guest said.
He discussed achievements of Muslim intellectuals in literature, science, arts and architecture and philosophy. He was of the view that Muslim scholars introduced the world with mathematics, physics, biology and medicine. Now is the time for them to redefine their strategy to revive their past, he added.

It is need of the hour for Muslims to rethink about priorities and devise plan to face challenges with constructive solutions through research, he added.
