The past few years has seen a long-standing debate on whether Islamic State (IS) was a creation of the United States and its foreign policies, most notable it's occupation of Iraq in 2003.

This argument centred mostly around its inaction in Iraq and Syria. However, in this video, US investigative journalist Ben Swann explains that it was not only the United States’ inaction that led to the creation of IS, but was also the course of direct action taken by the superpower.
