Health is birthright: SIUT celebrates 40 years of healthcare

Rizvi invited the chief minister to preside over the sessions of the symposium, which was accepted by the latter

Sindh Institute of Urology and Transplantation (SIUT) has completed 40 years of treatment to every human irrespective of caste, colour or creed, said Professor Dr Adibul Hasan Rizvi, the director of SIUT during a meeting with the chief minister at CM House on Friday.


He told Chief Minister Qaim Ali Shah that SIUT is celebrating 'Health is Birthright' to mark its 40 years. The SIUT provides state-of-the-art health facilities free of charge to over one million patients yearly. He said that as part of its celebrations, the SIUT management has decided to organise the International Symposium of SIUT from December 8 till December 12 in Karachi.


He said as many as 110 experts from all over the world will participate in the symposium and added that the SIUT symposium provides a forum for exchange of knowledge between professionals in the field of urology, nephrology, gastroenterology, Transplantation and bioethics among others. Rizvi invited the chief minister to preside over the sessions of the symposium, which was accepted by the latter.
