MUMBAI: It is known that Aditya Roy Kapur is playing the role of  a Kashmiri guy in Fitoor and the film has been shot in the valley. But there is more Kashmiri connection in the forthcoming film as the younger version of the actor in the film is being played by a local boy.

The casting team took various auditions in Mumbai as well as Delhi but when they came across this boy in Kashmir, they felt he was the perfect fit for the role, read a statement. The boy, Mohammed Abrar, bears stark resemblance to Aditya in his traits, and seemed to be a perfect fit for the role.

The spokesperson of the film confirmed the news and added, “Lots of auditions were done before Abrar was finalised to play the role of a younger Aditya. The team was very happy with this casting as he fits the role very well.”

Abrar was given proper training before they started  to shoot with him. He suited the role completely and he even bonded very well on the sets with Aditya. Apart from him, there are a few other people from the support cast as well whose casting was done in Kashmir.

Directed by Abhishek Kapoor, Fitoor brings Aditya and Katrina Kaif together for the first time on the silver screen. The film is said to be an adaptation of Charles Dickens’ novel Great Expectations. It hit the roadblock due to budget issues, but was soon back on track. It is slated to release early next year.
