Day-three: Rains continued to lash Balochistan (

QUETTA: The torrential rains continued to lash central and northern Balochistan for the third consecutive day on Wednesday with many towns suffering power and communication breakdown. According to the met office the storm system has dumped 30 millimetres of rain over the province in last three days. However, there was no report of any loss of life or injury. Many areas reported of flash floods with traffic on interprovincial highways disrupted for hours due to mudslides. In Quetta city, overflowing sewers exposed the inefficiency of the metropolitan corporation now operating under the elected local government.
