In his first match, Sajjad thrashed Yemen’s Ahmed Haitham 4-0 with scores of 119-09(69), 70-15, 107-20 and 72-10 and went on to register another emphatic 4-0 win against Egypt’s Alaa Elsaed by 73-47, 86-15, 104-24 and 70-34.
Meanwhile, former world champion Mohammad Asif beat Iraq’s Omar Ali 4-1 in his first Group-V clash.

However, he had to work hard for his 4-3 victory against India’s Faisal Khan.
In other matches, Shahram Changezi defeated Brazil’s Thadeu Giannattasio Nobers 4-1, while Abdul Sattar won 4-0 against Egypt’s Mostafa Dorgham.
