DERA GHAZI KHAN:

Police took a man into custody on Tuesday from Lahore High Court (LHC) Multan Bench after his interim bail was cancelled. Zeeshan Leghari is accused of shooting at a policeman and injuring him. Civil Lines police will now present him before Magistrate Kaisar Abbas on Wednesday (today) to obtain his physical remand. According to police, Leghari shot Inspector Mumtaz Ahmad Barmani in the leg last month after an exchange of harsh words. He then obtained pre-arrest bail from the LHC’s Multan Bench. On Tuesday, LHC Justice Hafiz Shahid Nadeem cancelled the bail. Investigation Incharge ASI Sajjad Hussain said that police would try to get Leghari’s physical remand to recover the weapon used in the attack.
