Court orders arrest: Khyber PA asked to restore subedar
A divisional bench of Peshawar High Court ordered the arrest of the political agent of Khyber Agency on Tuesday if he failed to implement court orders by November 26. Fazal Dad filed a contempt of court notice against Khyber PA Shahab Ali Shah. Dad told the bench he was a naib subedar in the levies force but was forcibly retired by Shah. The bench of Justice Waqar Ahmed Seth and Justice Musarrat Hilali was informed a writ was forwarded by PHC to the FATA Secretariat, asking Shah to restore Dad to his old post. However, the bench was also informed that Shah and the additional chief secretary have not implemented the court order to restore Dad’s service even after five months. After hearing the argument, the court issued an order for the arrested of the PA if he does not restore Dad’s employment status by November 26.
