The correct name of the donor of Jahangir Park was Byramji Jehangir Rajkotwalla and the park was called Byram Bagh
KARACHI: The news item in your newspaper titled “Court gives KMC seven days to clear Jahangir Park of encroachments” (November 3) states the name of the donor of the park as Khan Behramji. Allow me to correct this for the information of your correspondent, readers and your archives.
The correct name of the donor was Byramji Jehangir Rajkotwalla and the park was called Byram Bagh, where we played Rubie Shield Cricket, up to and after 1947. Sometime afterwards, the name was changed to Jahangir Park.
