After making his name on football field, it seems Manchester United Captain Wayne Rooney is eager to make an impact on World Wrestling Entertainment.

Its been nine months since WWE superstar King Barrett called out Rooney on Twitter. So when WWE Raw was in Manchester, United Kingdom this week, the collision between the two was inevitable.

During the event on Monday, Barrett approached Rooney, seated with his son in the front row, at ringside. He ripped Man U’s chances at winning the Barclays Premier League, who are currently at fourth place with 24 points, two points behind the chart leader, Manchester City.

“In this ring are two men who can be easily be described as championship material, which is, of course, is more than can be said of Wayne Rooney and Manchester United,” Daily Mail quoted Barrett as saying.

Following his tired, the two continued to trade verbal jabs at ringside. However, Barrett crossed the line when he said that he didn’t want to embarrass the captain in front of his son as Rooney’s son “experiences that every time [Rooney] steps on a football pitch.”

The 2015 King of the Ring winner was clearly not ready for what was coming his way as Rooney slaps Barrett to shut him up.
